I also went “unaffiliated” this past Thursday. I had intended to do it after voting Tuesday, but was told one could only switch after switching before the vote at the polling station. I am 71 and have been a registered Republican for all of those periods except for when I lived in Manhattan in the age of Buckleys, during which period I was a registered, proudly, as a Conservative.
I will bet dollars to donuts that the senate ‘gang’ of know-better GOPers confirm a seemingly ‘neutral’ SCOTUS AJ to the left of Elena Kagan, with Papa Smurf’s endorsement, recalling his brilliant Souter selection. Kelly, the Kloset Kommie, [that would be our Jr. Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) -Skip]will have a mutual love meltdown with McLinsey, and all will be well as she loses to our own red queen.
These people are just plain diesel dumb. It is just too predictable.
