State-Local tax burderns by State

We have Democrats, once again, calling for an Income Tax here in NH.  We have Republicans getting ready to pass a huge increase in the size and cost of NH State Government – Medicaid Expansion using Obamacare money (whose percentage of payments by the Feds about to downard trend leaving NH taxpayers on the hook).  The Republicans are creating the reason for the Democrats’ call for that tax (for neither will cut other parts of Government as a trade-off).  I ask you: how well did implementing an income tax in NJ because of high property taxes work out for their overall taxes?

Yet, in this Live Free or Die state, our tax burden is amongst the lowest in the nation – an income tax (or other broadbased taxes) are unneeded if politicians would do just one thing – run government within OUR (the taxpayers) means instead of turning us into CA/NY/CT/RI/IL/MN-lite.

At least the Democrats are open and honest about it – Republican NH State Senators Chuck Morse and Jeb Bradley and NH House Rep Joe LaChance (the prime sponsor of re-upping Obama’s Medicaid Expansion) are lying to us about “not costing NH Taxpayers” to keep 45,000 people on the public dole when they formerly had their own private insurance.  So much for the “Limited Government” Party, eh?  I’m betting the “Fusion Party of Demolicans” will cause NH’s lite green to go darker.

I look at this chart and go “Gee, all of the other States should be like us”; it seem like our politicians are looking at this guess they all look at this chart and go “WAY undertaxed”.
