That previous chart (in here, somewhere – I can’t find it) basically showed what we now know today – it ain’t gonna work. Ever. Even if the Govt took all our money to fund it, it is doomed to failure just because there are too many moving parts that absolutely have to work seamlessly. In a world of partial knowledge, fallen men, that has about as much chance of success as me being the UFC champ in the light heavyweight division (my current weight).
And here is the equivalent chart for Government “charity” – how it decides how to give other peoples’ money away in its attempt to be viewed as “compassionate”.
Folks, there is no thing as a compassionate government. Yes, there are compassionate groups of people and compassionate individuals but there can never be a “compassionate” government. True compassion is a person giving of themselves to another – government has people working at “social services” powered by money taken from others – to try to call that compassionate is just yet another attempt in redefining the language to move the individual to the side (you HAVE heard that wrong headed and hearted phrase of “individual charity just can’t do it – only Government welfare can”, right?) and “progress FORWARD” the meme that the only way to do good is to necessarily have government involved.
Go ahead, you tell me how that can really work well. Click on it for a larger view.
I can tell you that I’ve watched it up close and almost-personal during our daycare days. Unless someone is REALLY motivated, and I saw very few coming over our threshold that I could attach that adjective to, it is HARD to break free of that enveloping clutch.
