Hmm, from a “position of…”?

Kim’s post on Jeb! making the decision to cut his staffers’ salaries brought a thought to my fingers:

Shot:

Jeb!: We’re making campaign staffing cuts, but it’s from a “position of strength

Chaser:

Obama: President tells CBS’s Steve Kroft in interview previewed on-air Friday that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s moves into Syria are out of weakness, not strength

IAM confused – what is Strength and what is Weakness?  Once says “Strength” when it is obviously weakness and the other says “Weakness” when it is obviously strength.  Retreating is now strength and offense is now weakness? You gotta love people that just offhandedly redefine our language right out from underneath us.

Or is that hate?
