With Obama’s attempted nationalization of college rankings comes an observation…

When the Department of Education unveiled its new College Scorecard earlier this month, a number of schools were missing from the list — not low-ranked or misrepresented, just missing. Many are conservative schools, well-known for their independence from the federal government.

Hillsdale College, a small Michigan liberal arts school which receives high marks in national rankings – U.S. News & World Report ranked it the 67th best liberal arts college in the nation and #1 for veterans — was notably absent from the Obama administration’s list of colleges. So were Grove City College and Christendom College. All three of these schools do not accept federal funding in order to maintain independence from government control.

Were the conservative schools left off the scorecard because they reject federal funding or because they oppose government control of higher education?

Free College - afforable healthcare insuranceWe hear all the time from Obama that we are a nation of racists, a history of racism pervades our society even after the Civil War and the Civil Rights Act.  Time and time again, we hear from his AG, Eric Holder, that we were a nation of cowards for not speaking about race.

Discrimination comes in a multitude of colors and fashion – and sometimes based on worldview, ideology, and in this case, the inability to control someone else.  For all his grand words, here is Obama trying to “Other” a group of people he must hate (’cause love ain’t keeping them off that list!). Add this, too, Hillsdale College is ALL about teaching traditional Western liberalism (not to be confused with the current definition of “Liberal” which is to say, stands for being very illiberal to the point of being totalitarian like their Communist and Socialist kin). It’s emphasis is all about the US Constitution – the actual history, the philosophy, and its meanings.

In other words, an existential threat to that foreign political philosophy sired, not in American tradition but in the European socialist tradition whose basic tenet of subjects serving The State – diametrically opposing the American won where the Individual is to have the primacy.

No, leaving those conservative colleges was no mistake; this was deliberate and with premeditation.  This really can be summed up in one picture of The Man himself:

Obama middle finger

Indeed.  Not just redistributional but retributional as well.  How DARE those colleges not willingly be absorbed into the Borg…
