Bonus Blogline of the Day – Breaking the female glass ceiling the right way

Riffing off the campaign mantra that Hillary Clinton should be elected President simply because she is female (or has she self-selected any other gender “in solidarity”?) – this is a valid reason to be President, just because she has “lady parts” (methinks just putting up with Bill’s philandering all these years MIGHT be a better sympathy angle, but that’s her own dang fault)?  Via Bety’s Page is this observation about Carly Fiorina, a most proper one IMHO, by Kimberly Strassel:

She isn’t a woman running for president. She’s a presidential contender who happens to be a woman.

As it should be.  Screw the Democrat identity politics; Republicans that don’t eschew that mentality deserve to lose (yet some think they can play and win at that game – poor besotted weaklings of the “who needs principles” lemmings). Oft,  it seems that identity politics is the ONLY litmus test for those on the Left – the ideas solely wrapped up in race, gender, victimhood, and oppression (what a dismal way to go through life with such a worldview – so limiting and so shuttered).  It should be about the person, not the gender.  It should be about idea generation and not an entitlement mentality.

Breaking the Prez glass ceiling should never be considered to be a “my turn”.  You need, always, to earn it.  I don’t have to tell you which name goes with which outlook.

No, the proper light is that each is a PERSON, in the likeness of God, created with equal Rights by our Creator.  Americans that are unhyphenatedly united rather than by the divisive group divided.
