HoustonWell, my post about Houston Mayor Annise Parker and the razing of two churches caught someone’s eyeballs (which was here: Is lesbian Houston Mayor Annise Parker going after Christianity – again?).  Who’da thunk it – that a small state blog here in NH would attract the attention of a left-of-center political heavy weight from Houston (a city whose size is > NH)?   But it did:

Skip,

I am chairman of the Houston Housing Authority’s board of commissioners.  I read your post, “Is lesbian Houston Mayor Annise Parker going after Christianity – again?”

If you would like additional information about the Houston Housing Authority’s investment plans in the Fifth Ward, I would be pleased to visit with you.

Although I hope otherwise, I fear the misinformation you received that this proposed development was connected to the City of Houston and its Mayor was intentional.  Our authority, an independent taxpayer owned agency authorized by federal law, is the developer.

My contact information is below.  I can most dependably be reached at (713) 962-1046.

Best,

Lance

I was rather amused, surprised, and curious once I read it; as I said above, the ‘Grok is more than just up the road a bit from Houston (must’ve had a Google alert set).  So, I did call – left vmail twice and then he called back.  And we did yak; details will come in another post.  I also offered Lance the chance to write a rebuttal AND to come on GrokTALK!; he has accepted both so now we’re just wait mode.

In the mean time, I also did a wee bit of doing “due diligence” and found some of his own writings.  I will be doing a fisking on them.  Always room for more post ideas – and I found them.
