Sure, this may not involve the courts, but it certainly lives up to the spirit of the assault on American institutions. She’s right – this is an assault on the most American of institutions – The Rule of Law. Her rant is against the Huntington Park City Council for appointing illegal aliens to commissions. Not citizens, not even legal residents, but illegal aliens. So these two illegal alien men will have the voting power, as members of those committee, to dictate how legal residents and citizens will live their lives. This is the American way, this is following The Rule of Law?
Her accusation of “My people commit a crime and we go to jail. You people commit a crime and you get AMNESTY!” got a rousing set of applause and righteous yells.
But did it make a difference? Unfortunately not – these two men from a far different history and culture (and not being imbued with America and its historical and philosophical underpinnings still serve. So when we have “leaders” that have no sense of Americana (after all, their present state of legalness say they don’t even care), where will America go?
