Some more reasons why people like Trump versus the Establishment

More from Erick Erickson who has some specific items to back up my broad brush strokes of late (emphasis mine):

The GOP told its voters that if they elected them, they’d stop Barack Obama. Instead, they gave Barack Obama a blank check to raise the debt ceiling to avoid a fight with him.

They told the base that they’d hold Barack Obama accountable. Instead, they did not blink in approving his replacement for Eric Holder.

They told the base they would stand up against crony capitalists. Right now they are set to reauthorize the Ex-Im Bank.

This included US Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-NH).  I bet I have video with her saying otherwise, too.

They told the GOP that they would fight against Obamacare. When Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 100% said they should stop funding it, they left footprints on his back as they ran over him to stand shoulder to shoulder with Barack Obama.

They had ONE job – and ONE shot at doing it.  This included US Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-NH).  ESPECIALLY her when she viciously attacked him.  So, Kelly, did you stop Obamacare as you campaigned to do?  Huh?

When the Republican leadership told their voters and the nation that they’d oppose amnesty, they went straight to Washington to not only authorize it, but call anyone who disagreed with them racist. Many of the Republicans flat out lied on the issue and could not even be bothered to seal the border first.

Anytime anyone wants, I can repost that video from her campaigning for her position adamant that she was against amnesty.  It’s like the word “promise” is like that word “is” is.

With the Iranian deal, again the Republicans let Barack Obama out maneuver them.

And killed their Constitutional DUTY in doing so.  Imagine that – instead of 2/3rds to approve, they turned the Constitution upside down in setting the stage to be a simple majority – which then Obama can veto (hey, lawyer Kelly – is this Constitutional?) and then they have to …..oh just crap, you know where this is going….

Yeah, how many Republicans campaigned on the way they’re acting?  And they wonder why people are going gaga for Trump?

They basically see him as not worse that the current crop in DC – and at least, might be a bit more entertaining as America swirls the bowl.

Swirls the bowl – because they didn’t do their jobs.  Oh sure, lots of activity, pontificating and other hot air, but results?  Roman Senate
