Another hit to Progressive Elizabeth Warren’s “you can only succeed with Big Government”? We saw the first hit during the Occupy Wall Street heyday and certainly Oakland businesses got hit hard by the anarchists that rioted (and several times, truth be known). Ferguson and now Baltimore – we SAW the marauding bands and we saw law enforcement. Remember, over 200 businesses got looted and/or burnt to the ground. In some cases, the businesses that survived (mostly) intact were those whose owners used their Second Amendment Rights to defend their own property as the police just stood there and did not protect private property because the “rising start Democrat” mayor of Baltimore’s “space to destroy” command. Yeah, not a proper role of government to abdicate part of its first priority.
And once again, Oakland suffered during the May Day riot – where was Government, Elizabeth Warren, to protect THOSE business people from “the marauding bands“? And one business complained that the Government – “the rest of us” bit – Oakland PD failed again:
The Oakland police gave the May Day protesters (in the Baltimore mayor’s immortal words) “space to destroy.” The aftermath was fairly predictable: Widespread property damage and business owners in the community who have heard all the excuses before. One business owner is Erich Horet, who was interviewed by Oakland’s KPIX Channel 5 about vandals defacing property at his auto dealership. “Enough is enough,” Horet told KPIX. And to make his point crystal clear, Horet posted a sign at his business establishment:
So if this pillar of Warrenism is now out the door, can we dismiss the rest? And people want her to run for Prez?
