After only three months on the job, Elissa Voccola is no longer the executive director of the New Hampshire Republican Party, WMUR.com has learned. Party sources said Voccola’s last day on the job was Friday and the parting was by mutual agreement.
Hmm, that’s pretty much code speech of “resign and we go easy else we quote The Donald”.
Voccola, 26, joined the NHGOP in early February after serving as executive director of the Connecticut Republican Party since mid-2013…While in Connecticut, Voccola reportedly had open disagreements with 2014 gubernatorial nominee Tom Foley on hiring, allocation of resources and fundraising. It’s unclear if any similar problems led to her departure from the New Hampshire post.
But I’m betting DiStaso hit this dead nuts on (even as Republican Jim Rubens was on the same kick):
WMUR.com has learned that she privately took some heat for initially allowing the New Hampshire Rebellion, a group advocating campaign finance reform, to be a sponsor of the recent First-in-the-Nation Republican Leadership Summit. The group was founded by Harvard Law School Professor Dr. Lawrence Lessig, who repeatedly criticized Republican Senate candidate Scott Brown last year. The NHGOP eventually canceled the New Hampshire Rebellion’s sponsorship and returned its contribution.
Sidenote: Lessig’s MayDay PAC who funded Jim Rubens’ campaign who then has taken up that money out of campaign meme, ran afoul itself of campaign finance law – vunderbar: political law prof screws up following law
Heck, Lessig and his MayDay PAC were MILD, almost milquetoast, in comparison to us. I’m quite sure, that as all registered Republicans (except for Groksters Ed (a registered Democrat) and Kimberly (Independent), we been much far more outspoken against the NH GOP and the top-of-ticket candidates – and in no small amount, either.
So imagine what would have happened if Voccola had invited US to the FITN gig – stocks and rotten veggies and fish? Or some of that alligator bait from Swamp People?
I do wonder, however, if the NHDP’s will create a meme of “Jennifer Horn fired a woman!! #WarOnWomen
