Journalism’s role in losing the Republic

Media swoon over Obama

Whatever happened to that old journalism phrase, “comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable”?  Or what the Founders meant – to be a check on Government?

Blinded. Combine this with the lack of will of the Congress to exercise its considerable powers (or the opposite – the abject surrender), we are finding ourselves stepping more and more in the realm of a unitary President: Legislature, Judiciary, and Executive. If our so-called “press” and Congress do not soon regain consciousness (or sanity), we will be hearing Le Roi soon enough.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely – and if that happens, we may soon that definition up close and personal.

As an evangelical Christian and Conservative with small "L" libertarian leanings, my fight is with Progressives forcing a collectivized, secular humanistic future upon us. As a TEA Party activist, citizen journalist, and pundit!, my goal is to use the New Media to advance the radical notions of America's Founders back into our culture.
