Senate clobbers Obama’s $4 trillion budget plan in 1-98 vote — Here’s the one guy who voted ‘yes’

The Senate on Tuesday destroyed any lingering hope President Barack Obama might have had for passing his budget plan through Congress this year, by voting down Obama’s plan 1-98.

The only senator to vote for the plan was Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.).

Not ONE of Obama’s budgets have gotten much traction the last few years – certainly once the Republicans took the House.  But to have the DEMOCRATS all vote no, resoundingly so, for years?  One does have to wonder what the game is…

…oh yeah -> passing Continuing Resolutions.  You know, that process that just ignores the real budgeting process that we vote them in for – both Republican and Democrat.  Miserable failures, all of them, for not being able to pass a budget.  Instead, we are reaping their results of abdicating their primary purpose and keep leaving us on auto-pilot.

I remain pessimistic on the Rs, now given the majorities they begged for that we’ve now given them, to behave any differently than they have lately: puff out their chests, say lots of words, fling poo at the Dems…

….and fold like the cheap suits they’ve been when Obama says “No”.  Let’s see how well this prediction hold up…
