First he wants to break “Skip Murphy’s Axiom”: Government’s spending should NEVER rise faster than the average family’s income. Then he wishes to take $320 billion more in taxes away from others. At what point, to quote Steve, is enough, enough? Certainly it is clear that Progressives, Obama being chief amongst them, will NEVER answer that question. Ever. I am quite sure that this budget, $3.99 Trillion annual outlay, is less than what he’d like. They can’t assemble the courage to admit the truth of what they’d do during campaigns but certainly complain afterwards after their attempts to legally take other peoples’ private property (money and wealth being such) are rebuffed – and his budget has already been deemed D.O.A.
Be that has it may, this is what the Washington Post) came up with in reducing the 2016 Federal Budget to a family level (see graphic). Townhall also has this regarding Obama’s success in having his budgets passed:
Looking back on Obama’s tenure as President, it’s important to note just how far-left the vast majority of his budget proposals have been over the years, which is exactly why only one of them has passed and the rest have been roundly defeated, often unanimously, by Democrats and Republicans. In 2012, Obama’s budget was defeated by the Democrat controlled Senate 97-0. In 2013, his budget was defeated 99-0.
