Speaking of Flip Flops, here’ssss Jeb Bush!

First and foremost we need to control our border.  A great nation needs to control its border.  Not just at the border, which is hugely important, but also the 40 percent of the people that have come here illegally came with a legal visa and overstayed their bounds.  We ought to be able to figure out where they are and politely ask them to leave.”

We need to use State and local enforcement.  State and local law enforcement should be a partner with the federal government to make this done effectively and in a “compassionate” way.

I don’t even know that that means – “ask”?  “Compassionate”?  “Partner”?  Sorry, but when you are using the phrase “law enforcement”

when speaking, there is no “ask” there is only “DO! or face a Consequence”.  There is no “No?  Oh, ok, just keep doing what you were doing” (after all, when Obama “asks” the rich to give more, you KNOW he ain’t just asking).  And after what has been coming out of Jeb’s mouth recently (yes, a full throated Amnesty proponent), this is pure Flip-Flop (in slo mo, to be sure, but a flip flop to be sure).  And if he is using “Compassionate” the way his brother did, well, it is yet another abuse of the language – Government is NOT compassionate; only individuals are.  Government is procedure and judgment at best.

So there’s two out of the three he can’t deliver on based on the actual definitions of those words – so this is just gum flapping to sound nice and has no actual meaning behind it.  But he doesn’t talk about a REAL problem and how he’d accomplish it.  So many cities have declared themselves to be Sanctuary Cities that will do nothing about illegal aliens in their borders – how will he get their law enforcement to “partner” with him when their Heads of State say “Screw the Rule of Law”.  That is, unless he’s going to continue the process of dismantling the Rule of Law as well?  And this doesn’t even BEGIN to broach California which has all but made themselves a separate nation with respect to enforcing immigration law…

…but it certainly does show a willingness to take the Feds money for them all, aren’t they?
