“The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works — whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified.”

– President Barack Obama, Inauguration, 1/20/09

Yes, Twitter and YouTube are NOT military sites but the irony of Obama proudly telling the private sector that he is going to demand that they will have to follow his rules “for our own good” and then US Central Command (one of 5 US Military “operational areas”) getting taken over by the cyber wing of ISIS.  You just can’t make this up. From the The Corner :

The Twitter and Youtube accounts of the U.S. Army’s Central Command was hacked by unknown attackers calling themselves the “CyberCaliphate” on Monday, publishing the phone numbers and private information of American officers and posting propaganda videos glorifying the Islamic State.

The attack on the Army’s headquarters for Middle Eastern operations occurred around 12:30 EST, when the hackers sent out the following tweet on @CENTCOM’s account:

The Corner also has some screen shots of the tweets.  This works well to sum up things:

SHOT: Obama Calls For New Cyber Protections.

CHASER: US Centcom Twitter account ‘hacked by Islamic State.’

Everything he touches. . . .
