The Establishment Republicans keep thinking they are helping but never realize this is like fingernails on an old fashioned chalkboard to those that really wanted and voted for a Republican agenda. Donna Sytek in the UL today:
“Shawn needs to reach out and build bridges to the Republicans in his caucus,” said former House speaker Donna Sytek of Salem. “He has already built bridges to the Democrats.”
That gives rather cold comfort, doesn’t it – that the “Republican” Speaker ( Shawn Jasper ) has already made entreaties to the supposed opposition instead of his own caucus – a harbinger of things to come? That his first attentions are to make nice with those that plopped him into that Speaker’s seat? Rather than trying, even BOTHERING, to approach those that did not vote for him first in his own Party? Or does that even matter – he has successfully transformed his voting base, hasn’t he?
And again, is NH GOP Chair Jennifer Horn going to unilaterally change the NH GOP By-Laws so as to sit Shawn Jasper at the EBoard table – even as we can call Shaw Jasper the Second Coming of Doug Scamman or DS Version 2.0?
Gaffes of enormous stupidity that, to me, confirm worst fears?
I have some thoughts that will get posted later, but I’m betting that from a grassroots perspective, this is going to run off a lot of formerly Republican folks in this grand show of the reality of the “Jr. Partners of the Democrat Party”. You have made them not care
