NOW it is Christmas time: Home Free – “Angels We Have Heard On High”

by Skip

I love a capella music so one of my favorite TV shows (yes, a “network” show) is The Sing-Off where a number of a capella groups (a mix of high school, street corner, college, semi-pro, pro) compete for the top prize.  One of my favorites was Home Free (as well as Pentatonic whose songs I have previously posted); here is their rendition of the timeless Christmas carol “Angels We Have Heard ON High”:

“Country a capella group Home Free gathered in the empty chapel of the School Sisters of Notre Dame’s Our Lady of Good Counsel campus to visually capture the feeling their rendition of “Angels We Have Heard on High” so consistently evokes.

The house of worship in Mankato, Minnesota, was a wise choice; the group’s video recorded there has garnered over a million YouTube views since the day before Thanksgiving.”

The program started off as a summer show, caught on, and has been brought back a couple of season.  This year, it seems like they are going to put it on air only one evening – this Wednesday at 9am.  (H/T: The Blaze)
