NH House Rules Committee – Democrat appointed Speaker Jasper rigs the rules against voters by seconds

Shawn Jasper BinkieYes, the Democrat appointed Speaker took charge in his own committee

Sidenote:   Rules     71.7% D+ Shawn J’ass’per (r-Hudson) Chair       82.3% B Gene G. Chandler (r-Bartlett) Vice Chair    (scores being their HRA scores – neither has one to write home about)

and passed a rule that I believe is anti-voters (er, we voters) and anti-Govt Transparency.  Why? It will make it hard for we voters to know how our elected representatives have voted in doing OUR business.  Yessiree – Openness and Transparency just became more closed and opaque.  How?

Normally to have a roll call vote, where EVERY Representative’s vote on the issue and recorded for later review by US, a motion has to be made and then seconded by ten (10) people.  Now?  The number needed must be twenty (20) Reps to second the notion – twice as many.  This can and most likely be MUCH ( > 2)  harder to do – and thus, fewer votes will be recorded so that WE will know how they made their decision that will affect OUR lives and business.

We expected bad things to start with Democrat appointed Speaker Shawn Jasper – and he has not disappointed in that.

But we are disappointed in that this is probably a harbinger of things to come.
