Or say both Bill O’Brien and Laurie Sanborn on Kelly Ayotte’s endorsement of Gene Chandler (“Right After That Nap”) for NH Speaker of the House. While Bill (who, for full disclosure, GraniteGrok endorsed in this race) talked about passe moderates (one of which, Doug Scamman, conspired with the Democrats to seal his fate) of last century’s fame, Laurie had the much better line:
“She’s certainly welcome to her opinion but I think that hurts the Party”. I think that divides us further…”
True dat! And it is clear that two years will not be all that long before she is up for re-election and this will not burnish her bona fides with the L&F / Conservative wing. Only time will tell but is she setting herself up to start looking like Walt Havenstein and Scott Brown (with Right to Life and Second Amendment morphing into the issue of Amnesty (in which she promised one thing and is has “evolved” to support its opposite) ) to the base?
