And, perhaps, the base:
Steve Duprey, who has run many Republican campaigns in New Hampshire, predicted Republicans, including Brown, would not be greatly hindered by the new platform.
“I know very few Republicans that support every plank of the platform”
Especially quite a number of our Very Important elected representatives. And, very much, the base has taken notice of this and now are reacting – negatively . If elected Rs won’t support the Platform Planks, why bother having a Platform? Or, as the base thinks: why not just not bother with the elected Rs?
Why else would Leadership and VIPs be conducting a “PLEASE support and vote for our [Establishment] candidates” campaign towards Conservatives? Back channels, of course. Else, why would NH Chair Jennifer Horn loudly proclaim that we are a “unified Republican family!” (even as members of the base were yelling out “Point of Order!” in the beginning of the meeting and then having their mic turned off?). Unified but yelling for attention, Unified but not getting listened to. Mysteries and stupidities abound.
Hmmm; several folks have now reached out to the ‘Grok (directly or via surrogates). We’re highly amused.
