” First, the defeat of the GOP wing of the Permanent Bipartisan Fusion Party”. Now, a GREAT example!

“What is the base supposed to think when they see Republicans taking money from Democrats to use in Republican primaries?”

Or, as the phrase goes that I’ve been using: the Jr. Partners of the Democrats.  It is no secret that the Establishment Republicans, as shown by Karl Rove’s willingness to spend millions to defeat conservatives (aka TEA Party) that actually believe in the Constitution and the Party Platform.  Power is addictive and we see that on both sides of the aisles.  How often have we seen those trying to move the country down to its political roots be attacked by long term pols that seemingly have more regard for themselves and their butts in the seat rather than taking the hard stances and showing the willingness to say “no more” to the overregulating, freedom snuffing Welfare State?

How often do we see “our side” willing to work with the Socialists and move that Overton Window just that next incremental move Leftward?  As long as they get to play with the Levers of Power – when permitted, I guess.  And here is a great example of Republicans acting as “the useful idiots” for others that wish to knock them off  later- but willing to take out TEA Party types first:

Guess Who’s Funding the Republican Civil War

Labor unions. And they’re doing it through a pro-business Republican PAC.

The Republican Main Street Partnership has emerged as an outspoken, deep-pocketed player in pro-business GOP plans to beat back tea-party challengers next year. But the group’s new super PAC has an unexpected source for its seed money: labor unions.

The super PAC, called Defending Main Street, has not yet submitted a major donor disclosure to the Federal Election Commission. But documents filed by other groups show that two labor organizations, the International Union of Operating Engineers and the Laborers’ International Union of North America, directed a combined $400,000 to the Republican group in September and October.

Main Street says it has raised roughly $2 million total between its super PAC and an affiliated nonprofit group so far—and that means labor has supplied at least 20 percent of those funds.

Why should the unions, which are nothing less than auxiliary arms of the Democrat Party, directly put their fingerprints on Republican primaries when there are squishy / moderate / Power hungry Republicans, in search for the singular purpose of a “W” (who cares what happens afterwards), are willing to take the money from those that will turn right around in the general elections and beat them with iron rods (figuratively).  The Unions aren’t stupid – if they see Republicans willing to take out the Union / Democrats most feared enemies, well by all means, let’s make sure that the weakest candidates survive the primaries, eh?  So if these unionized Democrats are not the stupid ones, then…..you can fill in the blank (I know you can!).

We saw in the just passed Virginia Governor’s race that the Democrats funded a “Libertarian” (rumors I’ve seen state that he wasn’t all that much of one) simply to siphon off votes from the Republican candidate, Ken Cuccinelli.  I’ve also heard of other cases where Dems ran “false flag TEA Partiers” as well.  But this is worse – here are Republicans all willing to use money from the Unions that hate them to kill off TEA Party type candidates…simply because they actually believe in the Principles that the Party ostensibly holds.  This shows that the “Moderate Wing” has what kind of Principles?  Oh yeah, back to the Jr. Partners meme again – if the Democrats don’t thump their heads in the General election (just sayin’).

And when the base sees Republicans all to willing to take money from the Democrat Unions, well, how motivating is that gonna be, eh?  Consistency of whose purposes?  What is the base supposed to think when they see Republicans taking money from Democrats to use in Republican primaries?

…and the Establishment Republicans expect us to then vote for their candidates when we see this so openly and blatantly?
