“So the great irony here is that the very existence of this bill, and others like it, is the strongest argument for why, even if passed, they should simply be ignored — thus making felons out of people who are harming no one, but who simply decline to let the fears of a few undermine the freedom of all.”

– Ian Underwood

(emphasis mine)  I am so impressed with his testimony that I have read it 4 times already.  In addition to illustrating the complete lack of respect for NH & US Constitutions by  bringing up the meme of “why shouldn’t we ignore you when you ignore the Constitution?”,  it brings up the real fear of many nowadays that our legislators are all too willing trade our Freedoms for the thin veneer of a gauzy feel-good sense of security.

Which is to say, no security to speak of.

So the great irony here is that the very existence of this bill, and others like it, is the strongest argument for why, even if passed, they should simply be ignored — thus making felons out of people who are harming no one, but who simply decline to let the fears of a few undermine the freedom of all.”
