Senator Nancy Stiles – “It’s not like it’s dead yet.; Quick Thought

by

Grokster Steve is wondering if the vampire of NH Medicaid Expansion (part of Obamacare) will rise again; in reading it, I went to the SeacoastOnline link:

…”This has nothing to do with problems happening nationally with the ACA marketplace,” Sherman said. “As a physician, I’m concerned for patients and residents of the state.”

No, not the website.  However, if one looks into the actual law itself, this is like complaining that door lock needs some WD-40 when the only way the car is going to work is on the flatbed of a singlepayer Government system – by design.  Once again, much of the “success” (and remember, Progressives are HAPPY to have more and more people attached to the government teat like piglets to the Mama sow) of Obamacare was predicated on the need for the States to all expand their Medicaid roles.

But I also note his last phrase – “and residents of the state.”  Sorry, but when do Democrats ever really show “compassion” towards taxpayers and say”enough is enough; we’ll leave their hard earned money with their families”?  It’s always SO easy to be compassionate when using other peoples’ money, isn’t it?

I wonder if he is like my doctor the last time I saw him; he was all in favor of Obamacare but had a sign at the receptionist’s desk:

We are not accepting any new Medicaid patients at this time

Perhaps I should call the good doctor’s office in the AM and see if the same sign is displayed there, eh?  Oh, no so compassionate when it comes to YOUR money?

The state has the opportunity to receive $2.5 billion in federal dollars over seven years with the proposed Medicaid expansion, Muns said.  “The Republicans are always talking about ‘jobs, jobs and jobs.’ Well, (the expansion) would create more jobs in the health care field as more people are insured.”

And “If you like your subsidy, you can keep it“.  At some point, the Piper is gonna demand his money – and how are our grandkids think of us for spending, not just their future, but their present? What is it about Progressives that has them believing that they can forever suspend (or ignore) the Laws of Basic Economics?  And it seems that NH State Rep Mums (D), has not ever heard of Bastiat’s Broken Window.  How often do you hear this lame excuse, that those who receive government money are better at spending the original earner’s wages?  Once again, their emphasis on how the Winners of their largesse with our money benefit.  NEVER do they mention the loss of what their arbitrarily chosen Losers (well, ideologically chosen Losers) could have done with that money.  Never.

No, Medicaid Expansion and Obamacare are all about one thing and one thing only: retributionist redistribution – those that these Socialists have decided to be the “Haves” are involuntarily forced to give up their earnings.  Once again, we see the redefinition of our language to fit the socialist narrative: that compassionate can only occur when the Collective is forced to give.    After all, what can be left of what used to be of “Christian charity” as Obama, the Progressives, the ACLU, and the militant atheists and gays continue to denigrate those of faith and the First Amendment protection of “the free exercise thereof”?
