From a Catholic priest that ministered to Tibetan people in the Peoples’ Republic of China, then returned to be a chaplain to our military:
“We expected the Communist Party to interfere and block religious services. They were very clear that they despised religion and they would do that. There was no question. But the great surprise is to be here and be standing in front of my chapel where I am the pastor and told that you can’t have services here by decree of the government.”
That would be the US Government, where President Obama believes he has the power to redefine the First Amendment’s “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof” to merely be “the freedom of worship” – and that latter only within four walls.
