GrokTALK! and good Kentucky Bourbon

by

Kentucky Bourbon FestivalI can see that Grokster Steve is in the process of putting up today’s GrokTALK! podcast.  During the intro segment, I mentioned that the Administration is so scared that young adults aren’t going to sign up for Obamacare, it will go down big time (even as I also argued a Cloward-Obama strategy is going on here – another instance of the Obama Strategy – Determined Weakness ending up with an extremely weakened US – perhaps to the point of irrelevancy on the world stage).  Anyways, here’s the link at Heritage (emphasis mine):

…the same outlet posted this e-mail from a Kentucky state official on how the Commonwealth plans to use federal funds to promote Obamacare:

I briefly scanned a schedule of upcoming mobile tour events and below few [sic] that are attended by a large number of young people: regional sporting events, such as the Lexington Legends and Louisville Bats games; the Goettafest and Riverfest in Newport and Covington; the Kentucky Bourbon Festival in Bardstown, Ky.; the Bourbon Chase; Oktoberfest in Newport; the Bourbon and Blues Festival in Owensboro; a couple of half marathons in various locations; the Iron Man competition, etc. We also expect that Navigators will be doing outreach on college campuses.

In other words, Kentucky plans a beer-and-bourbon tour to try to attract young people to enroll in Obamacare. (Maybe that’s what the porta-potties are for.)

Young adults will end up paying a premium for their healthcare payment insurance plans to the tune of 2 or 3 times the amount if Obamacare had never been passed – all to pay for the costs of keeping the Senior population even as the “fine” for not being insured is miniscule in comparison.  Either HHS Secretary Sebelius believes that

  • our educational system has done its job so that they can’t do math
  • these ‘utes believe Progressives when they say that Patriotism truly is measured by the taxes one pays
  • the only solution is to get them drop dead drunk in order to get that John Hancock

What would John Hancock think of this whole sorry mess?

Of course, seeing Bourbon and Obamacare linked to your left in the Tags is kinda satisfying.
