Yeah, I’m on pretty much on a lot of the Republican email list of import. No, not all, but I seemingly end up on lots of them. Including the NRCC – the National Republican Congressional Committee (tasked with protecting incumbents electorally and those new R candidates who have earned their stamp of approval) which is pretty much in attack-dog mode against Carol Shea-Porter and Annie Kuster. To be honest, if this is to be red meat stuff, it ought to at least pass the grill test (hmm, smells ok). Methinks, however, if this kind of dribble is supposed to “activating the base”, well, I think they need a new chef:
On Medicare’s 48th Anniversary, Carol Shea-Porter Continues to Oppose Plans to Save It
Shea-Porter opposed a balanced budget which would have preserved Medicare for future generations
WASHINGTON – Forty-eight years ago today, President Lyndon B. Johnson signed Medicare into law. How is Rep. Carol Shea-Porter celebrating this historic anniversary? By continually opposing plans that would balance the budget and preserve and protect Medicare for future generations.
And it goes on. So with Immigration, Obamacare, the upcoming Continuing Resolution, failure of foreign policy, the hollowing out of our military, and more importantly, the state of our economy, this is what they choose to harp about? So, I wrote a return “love message”:
Carol SIEU-Porter is certainly a problem. However, another (and much greater) problem is that the Republican Leadership down there in DC are seemingly in great need of the GraniteGrok Republican Repair Kit:
Let me know how many sets you need, given that it seems that the mantra from Republicans on the Hill, once again, has relapsed to Eeyor like levels:
Wussies all. How’s this for a response: we, the Conservative base, are already weary of the constant “repeal” votes that go nowhere except to enhance the rotundity of their skulls. Instead how about using their constitutional power of the purse as it’s the last chance to drown this Liberty killer before the Federal crack subsidies kick in which will almost guarantee that the Federal Government will no longer be a “civil servant” to free citizens – Progressives will have all but completed their Long March to regress this country back to their Heaven on Earth of Neo-Feudalism where they, the new aristocracy, will “guide” society. Republicans? Pretty much irrelevant.
If you don’t, your chuckleheaded bosses are going to lose for not keeping their promises to rid us of this perverse monstrosity for doing a monstrous bait and switch. Joe Walsh yelled “You Lie” at Obama at the SOTUS couple years back. Now we’re about to say it to Republicans. With vigor. Don’t do this, and we can make you lose as well – don’t always think that we have no other place to go.
Think I’m wrong? Ask former Congressman Frank Guinta (R-NH) how his base treated him this past election for breaking his promises to us. You weenies won’t fight for us, we refuse to fight for you.
Kindest regards,
