Last evening I drove down the to seacoast area of NH for a book signing by James O’Keefe on his new book (now a NYT Best Seller – man, I bet somebody was banging on their keyboard really hard for each letter to put that on their list, especially since Rush told folks to go buy it!) “BREAKTHROUGH – Our Guerrilla War to Expose Fraud and Save Democracy“. No, I didn’t get mine signed then – I had an extra special time with James here. But I did record his talk to the house full of activists:
He was also gracious enough to take 12 questions from the attendees, including one from me:
Questions:
- Have you had other young people join your movement?
- Have you had acting training?
- Do you fear for your life?
- Where to make donations to Project Veritas?
- Your opinion on Edward Snowden
- Three ways that the media has treated you:
- 1) They mocked you intellectually and said you weren’t a journalist. That didn’t work
- 2) They then went after your integrity. That didn’t work.
- 3) Now they have started to ignore you.
- How do you move past that [three] to get [through]?
- Do you have a whistleblowing associated group?
- (My question) The Left side of the New Media has excoriated you. A lot of the New Media on the Right has embraced you but not all of them. Can you speak to that and why wouldn’t somebody who would normally be aligned with you and the purposes that you are trying to get across, open and transparent government, why are those New Media on the Right bad-mouthing you?
- I think Conservatives are so beaten down in the pop culture they are utterly unwilling to stand up for their own beliefs and also Conservatives don’t like controversy. Conservatives, at the slightest bit of impropriety, will go running to the hills…Conservatives don’t like to win, they don’t want to be effective.
- Because they don’t have confidence in their arguments?
- Is it a big part of the Conservatives that she is talking about [previous question] the Nationals certainly, and many State-wide Conservatives…they’re Statists. They are vested in the status quo. They only want to change things at the margins and they won’t stand up on principles – they are part of the problem?
- Where do you go to express yourself? Look at the TEA Party – the press vilified them? Where do you go, how can you be heard?
- Have you had any contact with the Benghazi survivors?
