Happy? Single Mother’s Day

The statistics for the real modern family are dominated by the single parent household.  The single parent household is overwhelmingly run, or not as the case may be, by a mom.  Somewhere around 84% of them are fatherless children.  Many of those never knew their father or are detached from them.

The leading cause of single-parent households is the culture.

The leading driver of culture in modern America is entertainment, media, and a socially driven secular humanism whose vanguard is the political left–who also dominate American entertainment and media.

The side effects of single parent households, just on children, an then by extension society, are catastrophic.

According to the Single Parent Success Foundation, a national nonprofit that encourages educational opportunities for single parents:

• 63 percent of suicides nationwide are individuals from single-parent families.

• 75 percent of children in chemical dependency hospitals are from single-parent families.

• More than half of all youths incarcerated in the U.S. lived in one-parent families as a child.

The number one cause of poverty among these folks is the absence of the other parent.

Anyone seriously interested is reducing poverty, suicide, drug dependency, crime (not to mention a host of other social ills), would do well to consider the root cause of them instead of throwing more and more money at treating symptoms.

These are human lives we are talking about.

It would be callous, even evil,  if some group of people were intentionally manipulating the culture of misery for some larger purpose.   It would be even more tragic if they were so narrow-minded as to not see the obvious complicity between the goals of their worldview and the outcomes on the lives of others.

Happy Single Mother’s Day.
