Richard de Seve – gee, there’s more! Student reviews…..and he’s a Truther???

by

OK, given how much GraniteGrok has been blogging about Richard de Seve and his political activities on the taxpayer dime, it was finally logical to Google him and see “have we been able to get our investigation out there?”.  The answer is yes: the two highest rated search items are about his LinkIn profile – and then GraniteGrok’s posts start showing up immediately thereafter with no small smattering of other sites reposting our stories.  But I found two other totally unrelated items about Mr. de Seve that were unexpected – Koofers.com (a student-rating-professor site) and a Letter that Mr. de Seve wrote back in 2006 at (where else??) the Concord Monitor (I have screen scraped the Letter if need be, given it’s content.).  First, Koofers:

Koofer's overall rating of Law Professor Richard de SeveOnly two students have rated him as a Law Professor; they aren’t impressed:

Koofer's student rating of UNH Law Professor Richard de Seve

Arrogant, pompous, driven by ideology, more agenda – how could I be surprised? But that ain’t the worst of it!  He decided to share his thoughts about 9/11 with us (emphasis mine):

The latest bogeyman, RICHARD de SEVE, Gilmanton – Letter
February 18, 2006

The more things change, the more they stay the same. In the 1970s, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, et al., convinced first President Ford and then President Reagan that the Soviets had developed terrible new weapons of mass destruction, including undetectable nuclear submarines that could threaten our coasts.

The CIA proved those assertions just as false as this cabal’s more recent assertions about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, failings of the intelligence community on 9/11 and their “long war” against “terrorism.”

These same people consciously allowed the attacks of 9/11 to happen because they needed that hook of constant fear to make Americans agree to fund their wars of empire in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere, and to so willingly give up so many of our freedoms and civil rights to draconian measures like the USA Patriot Act.

consciously allowed the attacks of 9/11” – certainly THE definition of a Truther, as in one that believes that the Federal Government was complicit in the deaths of 3,000 of our fellow citizens.  And in the case of Mr. de Seve, Truther, believing that the “other side of the aisle” would allow those deaths simply for an ideological purpose.

Simply due to ideology….oh wait!  What did those students say, again?

Rest of the Letter:

The problem with Sen. Sununu’s efforts is that the act was totally unnecessary then, and it’s still unnecessary. The intelligence community had all the tools it needed to stop a terrorist attack, if only this administration had bothered to actually take the actions we all expected of them to prevent those attacks. They did not because they needed the attack to happen.

Please stop being afraid of the latest bogeyman. The “war on terror” is as big a straw man as was the Soviet super sub that wasn’t in the 1970s. It’s time to take back our country and our freedoms.

Wonder if this was written on DES time.
