Is the Liberty-&-Freedom wing of the NH GOP a paper tiger?

Pam Tucker: Smart, feisty, tough. Doesn't like socialists, either.

Not really…but they sure as hell were AWOL at the New Hampshire GOP State Committee meeting on April 14, 2012.

As the meeting opened, there were 366 members reported present.

The big election battle was for National Committeewoman between Rep. Pam Tucker and Juliana Bergeron. Pam Tucker was the Liberty-&-Freedom (aka Tea Party) candidate, while Ms. Bergeron was the “establishment” nominee (for want of a better term).

The election was held late in the meeting. When the smoke cleared…

…Bergeron won by 175 to 170. That was 345 state committee members present and voting. What happened to the other 21 members who were present at the beginning of the meeting? More importantly, where the hell were the half-dozen or so Liberty-&-Freedom Republicans whom I personally know who weren’t at the meeting? This is for you guys: If you idiots had done what you’re supposed to do—i.e. get to the damned meeting and vote for L&F Republicans—Pam Tucker would have won. Like I said…”you idiots.”

On the other hand…I’m kind of embarrassed to say it—after all, I voted for Pam Tucker, she’s a good friend and an emerging leader of the L&F Republicans forces in the Free State of New Hampshire—but…I’m kind of glad that Pam will still be in the State House of Representatives, will still be Deputy Speaker assisting Speaker O’Brien, and will still be available to help lead us in some very important battles that all Republicans will be fighting in the months and years ahead. With Pam Tucker in  our leadership in the State House, our chances of success go way up.

Sorry, Pam. I’m sorry you lost the election…but I’m kinda glad you’re going to be here to help lead us in defeating the evil forces of statism and socialism which today’s Democrat Party represents.

So…let’s go get’em, everyone!
