Three Letter Word – Jobs (Steve Jobs, actually)

Few people will have the distinction in history afforded to Steve Jobs, who passed away yesterday.  Mr. Jobs will probably be remembered as a digital age Da vinci.  Someone with a vision that changed how we did things, maybe even how we thought about doing them.

Jobs died of complications from pancreatic cancer.  I could tell you how unpleasant that looks.  My father and Uncle both died from it.  And while his money probably helped him extend his life, adding to what little comfort could be found, his early departure was unavoidable.

I’ve never owned anything made by Apple but I like the products and how they have altered the entire industry.  And I have watched plenty of movies made by Pixar, another Steve jobs innovation, so his impact on the culture has not passed me by.

Oh, and Mr. Jobs, he created a lot of Jobs (4 letter word).

Rest in Peace sir.  We’ll be enjoying what you left behind for us for years to come.
