GrokTV Event – 2012 Presidential Primary: Congressman Ron Paul NH Campaign Office opening

by

Well now that the Ames, Iowa straw poll follies are over, the attention is now turning back to NH.  This week, two NH Campaign Office openings: Congressman Ron Paul and Herman Cain.

As part of our "citizen journalism" responsibility (and along with the punditry and the "whatever amuses us" parts), we are trying to get full video of events and "micro interviews" of as many of the Presidential candidates as well can without the imposition of sound bites and column inch limitations.

We don’t care if they are a "leader" in the race or somebody lagging the pack, we’ll try to get them all and as many times as possible.  We present, you watch / listen and decide.

While Herman’s opening will be Friday, tonite in Concord, NH was Dr. Paul’s.  Leaving right after work, it took some bit of time to get down there.  Given the shortage of time, only video of the speakers was done tonight:

  • Chris Lawless
  • NH State Senator (and Ron Paul’s NH Campaign Manager) Dr. Jim Forsythe, Ph.D  (and my NH State Senator to boot)
  • Congressman Dr. Ron Paul, M.D.

I will tell you, the audio on the video does NOT reflect the enthusiasm of the crowd – there were times when the whoopin’ n the hollerin’ and the clapping was so loud, my ears started to hurt. I will also tell you that there more people there than at any other office opening that I have ever attended – by about 10 X.  I would have to say that there were easily 500 people.  The age split was far different as well: a number of people my age (mid 50’s) or older but a LOT of folks in their 20s and 30s.

Note: I looked around for any NH GOP "Names" – I saw none.  You may not like the Libertarian wing of the Party, you may not vote for Dr. Paul, but you don’t ignore them either. Bad form, dudes, bad form.
