Data Point – Level of Christianity in the United States

by

From an post at The Corner actually concerning David Gregory of Meet The Press on his disbelief that anyone really believes God works in individual lives:

"…according to an ABC News poll, a full 83 percent of Americans identify themselves as Christian and, according to a Brandeis University study, 90 percent of Americans pray daily to “a God who is accessible, listening, and a source of emotional and psychological support, who at least sometimes answers back,” according to the sociologist in charge of the study."

Yet, it seems that the Left elite (and some on the Right, and all of the atheist movement) seem to want to view a strong, solid Christian belief as utterly fringe, uninformed, superstitious, and stupid.

And Gregory puts himself solidly in that group.  How tolerant of him towards another’s belief – Isn’t it the watchword of our betters to be "tolerant"?  Practice what you preach, David, and stop being bigoted and closed-minded.

(what’s good for the goose is good for the gander….)
