This just past campaign season’s slogans included “self-governing” and “self-responsibility”

by

The theme of this past election was "self-responsible" and "self-governing".  Put the two together and it means that we can do with less government (and which of us doesn’t want that?).

But as Kevin Smith of Cornerstone has rightfully pointed out, it means that we, all of us individuals, now have to do more.  Now, we have to put up and not  be the hypocrites that say "well, someone else will do it" or "hey, I gave in my taxes".

It means that each and everyone one of us has to do more for those around us.  WE, the citizens, need to crowd out government charity and become the replacement for government handouts (our proper role in a limited government Republic).  Here’s your chance:

Freshman NH State Rep (and a determined fighter for individual Freedom and Liberty for us all) Seth Cohen’s wife fell when their deck fell – she’s in the hospital in Boston. Stick your hand into your pocket, pull out some green, and help defray some of the back and forth travel for Seth in and out of Boston. GraniteGrok has already made a donation; your turn to go to ChipIn and help out.

(H/T: Jason A.:

Chris Lopez is the wife of Seth Cohen a New Hampshire State Representative. Last night the railing on their deck gave way and Chris Lopez fell off and injured her back. The doctors expect her to be paralyzed and in a wheelchair. Seth has been a strong advocate for homeschooling freedom and liberty. If you would like to donate a few bucks it would help with his travels down to Boston.)

Co-founder of GraniteGrok, my concern is around Individual Liberty and Freedom and how the Government is taking that away. As an evangelical Christian and Conservative with small "L" libertarian leanings, my fight is with Progressives forcing a collectivized, secular humanistic future upon us. As a TEA Party activist, citizen journalist, and pundit!, my goal is to use the New Media to advance the radical notions of America's Founders back into our culture.
