Have arrived in Minneapolis for the RightOnline conference and am looking to reconnect with some of the bloggers I haven’t seen for a while. Have already bumped into Corey Lewandowski of AFP and have scouted out the Bloggers Lounge and Radio Row (we will be frequenting both). Grokster Mike with sidekick Chris (yes, you will start hearing more, MUCH more, from the "modern De Tocqueville".
We’ll be setting up the live stream and doing GrokTALK! at our regular time (all other things being set up correctly) as well as a number of ad hoc interviews, videos, and pics as possible.
There is a formal Agenda for the conference, as it really IS all about empowering and training Conservatives to better use the ‘Net to defend Liberty and Freedom:
TRACK A: Online Activism 101
TRACK B: Advanced Online Activism
TRACK C: Tools and Resources
TRACK D: Citizen Journalism and Investigative Reporting
TRACK E: Grassroots Activism Training
TRACK F: Public Policy Issues
‘Grok friend John Hawkins from RightWingNews is teaching Blogging 101 – I may go and help (hinder?) the talk!
BONUS! This is also the hotel where the Netroots Nation conference is happening, so this should be a real gas! After doing some scouting around downstairs, I went to find an elevator and held its door open for a young lady (hmmm, I AM getting old…sigh) and asked if she was here for an event? After she said "NetNation", I announced I was here for RightOnline – the look was priceless!
Well, time to go and see if I can find the hornet’s nest – and poke a stick into it.
