Who, what, when, where, and why – the basics. Summarize five words to one as "context". Nice to see that one of the topflight political reporters in NH, Kevin Landrigan, provides a full context for his readers on his article concerning Gov. Sununu’s endorsement and Jack Kimball’s response when he mentioned moi.
Oh, wait – he didn’t! He goes from an older quote from Papa Sununu about being attacked from not being sufficiently conservative (hey, he’s the one that said on my show that he wanted ALL of his candidates to be very conservative engineers) and kinda just throws this out:
One e-mail from Skip Murphy on the conservative, GraniteGrok.com blog attacked Bergeron for sending all GOP committee members including himself a Christmas card though the holiday greeting contains no mention of her candidacy.

If you read his whole article, for the entire context, this was an unneeded sentence. Be that as it may, I’ll take it for the purpose of an object lesson; here’s the comment that I just left for Mr. Landrigan of the Telegraph;
Ok, Mr. Landrigan – let’s set it straight, shall we? It’s a "post", not an email that goes up on GraniteGrok.com. I did note it, indeed, as "crass, cynical, and political self-aggrandizement" for sending me a Christmas card this year. I don’t think that she and I have ever met. In fact, up until a month ago, I wouldn’t have been able to pick her out of a crowd. Thus, to "use" Christmas to send a card to someone she does not know this year with this election at hand is simply a political ploy to raise her name recognition among Members that can vote for her for NH GOP Chair.
At least Steve Duprey sent a letter (and I noted that as well) – same day, but he was at least honest in intention.
If she and I had know each other for a while, fine – no problem. But she used a religious holiday for a political purpose – not cool. If she had just sent a letter explaining her stances, that would have been fine and I probably would have noted it merely as such (as I did with Mr. Duprey). Using Christmas as a stealth mode way of scoring political points is not impressive – at all. Consider it a "Christmas pushback".
Or? Does Mr. Landrigan believe it to be totally acceptable practice? I bet that the Telegraph would not allow a debate on their pages – hey, Kevin, how about on The Lobby? You now have an open debate invite on GrokTALK! any time you want!
