The Historic State House session

by

It seems to me that the next two years are going to be extraordinary in the state legislature. The Democrats, as we all know, have run the state off a fiscal cliff in the past four years, and now the Republicans have been brought in to clean up the mess. The Republicans traditionally have acted as the "responsible tax collectors" for the Democrats, raising taxes in order to pay the bills that the socialists run up. Not this time, though. And that brings up an important idea….

We need someone to keep us all up on what’s happening on the floor of the state house. A state house blogger-rep, if you will. As it stands, important things are happening every day, and there’s no reliable way to hear about it on an ongoing basis. For instance, I’m told that on the first day of the legislative session, one of the first acts of the new GOP majority was to abolish the state house rule (imposed by the Democrats last year) that state reps can’t come into the building carrying concealed weapons. (The Democrats of course tend not to believe in self-defense, or in any power other than their god which is government. In addition, they work to make sure that people are disarmed so that a single madman can kill as many people as possible. This serves the interests of statists because it gives them excuses—every time!—to expand the power of government and reduce the right to self-defense by imposing yet more bans on self-defense weapons. They love it!)
So the NH GOP repealed the stupid rule. But who amongst us heard about this on the first day of the legislative session with Bill O’Brien at the helm? I heard about it fourth-hand. Isn’t there someone in the state house who will blog to us on an ongoing basis about what’s happening, day by day and blow by blow? Would be appreciated
