Done with No Guns at the State House

by

Constitutional Rights are no rights at all if constrained unnecessarily; today, the Second Amendment was re-affirmed.  I talked about this here – and now it has come to pass.  Via Facebook:

Good news – By a vote of 11-1, the Joint Legislative Facilities Committee, which sets policy for the State House complex, reversed the rule that the Democrat majority has set that banned guns ,

Voting Yes:

Speaker O’Brien(R), Senate President Peter Bragdon(R), Majority Leader DJ Bettencourt(R), Sen. Majority Leader Bradley(R), Sen Lambert(R), Sen DeBlois(R), Rep. Tucker(R), Sen. Morse(R), Rep. Chandler(R), Rep.  Weyler(R)

Voting No:     Senator Sylvia Larson (D)

As Cam DeJong said of Conservatives "We believe in people".

Does that mean that with her no vote, that Sylvia Larson doesn’t?  Or does she believe, like Democrat Governor of PA, Ed Rendell, that we are becoming a "nation of wusses" – and that she is ok with that?

(H/T: Shannon for the voting!)
