Data Point – Obamacare popular? Not so much

Ah yes, that law that will eventually help to answer that question

Are we clients ("Mommy, take care of me!"), subjects ("you work for us to pay for them!") or a sovereign people ("you’re from the Government? Get lost!")

Yup, it’s Obamacare.  Now, if you have listened to Progressives for the last two years, you would have to believe that it is greater than sliced bread and our progressive Federal income tax system ("those evil rich STOLE it from me!").  However, that ultra-conservative bastion called CNN has a poll on exactly what people think of it, especially the Individual Mandate:

…a new national poll indicates that a majority of Americans oppose that provision in the bill Congress passed earlier this year.

And a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Monday also indicates that a majority of the public still opposes the new law, but by a smaller margin than earlier this year.

According to the poll, six in ten oppose the requirement that all Americans get health insurance, with 38 percent saying they favor the provision.

60% against?  Seems like a rather large margin to, especially when many politicians crow over the fact when they win with a 52% – then, it’s a mandate!

Hey, Obama keeps saying he has one with a 52% win – does that mean we should push the issue even more with 60%?
