I just got off the phone with Jack Kimball – he has decided to run for the NH GOP Chair. He realizes that this means he will forgo running in the 2012 NH Governor race.

Jack Kimball is now making it official – he is now in the race to become the next NH GOP Chair. It was a difficult decision for him to make as he had eyed running for NH Governor again in 2012. However, he felt that with all the names that had been floating around during recent weeks, he believes that he will be more of a fit to lead the Party during this time.
He stated that his experience in running his own company gives him the ability to effectively handle "the back office" responsibilities of the position while his recent experience gained in running in the primary has given him the chance to meet with a wide number of folks with disparate political views within the NH GOP. Now, that experience will stand him in good stead in working with each of those constituencies and can effectively bridge any gaps between them. Knowing that this is also a critical time in NH’s history with the large number of new Republican freshmen and those in Leadership in the House and the Senate super-majorities, he can be a willing and capable advocate in the arena of public debate.
He looks forward to meeting with the new Members that have been elected to the NH GOP State Committee and hopes that they will give his candidacy serious consideration on January 22 at the next NH GOP state meeting.

Although we did not speak of it, frankly, given his oratorical skills, I am quite sure that he will be an effective "front man" along the lines of Gov. Sununu as the Presidential Candidates start streaming in for the upcoming Primary contest. Know full well, folks, that he will also have the skills and charm to deal very effectively with NH Democrat Chair, Ray Buckley, in contrasting the comparing the Republican Platform built on Liberty and Freedom that is built on good, conservative one and believes that it serves the Party well. Certainly, there are other responsibilities that come with the position that are extremely important – we will be doing a longer interview with Jack to discuss these in the near future.
You can be sure that he will not be one to back down in defending Republicans here in NH!
