This is my choice for President in 2012

by

This pretty much does it for me. Senator Jim DeMint, in the pages of The Wall Street Journal last week, wrote a column entitled "Welcome, Senate Conservatives." In it he gives five extraordinarily prescient and dangerous pieces of advice…dangerous for the political/government/ruling classes, that is. The foundation of his advice is DON’T LET THE CORRUPT POLITICAL PIGS IN WASHINGTON, DC CO-OPT YOU. How do the incoming conservative GOP senators avoid that fate? Read on…

One, NO EARMARKS. The days of senators being able to act like PIGS AT THE MONEY TROUGH are over.

Two, HIRE ONLY CONSERVATIVES FOR YOUR STAFF. If you hire "experience," i.e. party hacks, you’ll get party-hack advice. "Personnel is policy," the old saying goes.

Three, DON’T COMPROMISE YOURSELF TO GET ON A COMMITTEE. "Committee assignments can [and will] be used to  make [you] compromise on other matters."

Four, DON’T SEEK TITLES. You don’t need to be "Chairman" of this, and "Grand Poobah" of that. "The word ‘Senator’ before your name" carries clout enough.

Five, SCREW OBSESSING OVER RE-ELECTION. "Don’t let your re-election become more important than your job….People will try to convince you to moderate conservaive positions and break campaign promises, all in the name of winning the next race. Resist the temptation to do so. There are worse things than losing an election—like breaking your word to voters."

The above advice is so simple, so straightforward, so clear…that only the wholly corrupted scam-artists, liars, fools, charlatans, and other political hacks in Washington, DC would argue against them. And ARGUE THEY WILL.

I know, I know: "DeMint doesn’t have any executive experience." Oh BS. I don’t care. "DeMint hasn’t taken ‘the necessary steps’ to run for President." Oh BS. Irrelevant. "DeMint hasn’t said he wants to be President. He won’t run." SO WHAT? We’ll DRAFT him at the 2012 national Republican Convention. "DeMint is hated by the rest of the corrupt GOP party hack leadership in Washington," GOOD, and "They’ll never stand for DeMint running for President. They won’t support him." GOOD.

It’s Jim DeMint for me in 2012.

The only question is who to pick for Vice-President. And that’s a tough one: Michele Bachmann or Marco Rubio? And don’t give me any crap about they don’t have the corrupt party hack "experience" that’s "needed." Not after the Democrats, their toadies in the mainstream media, and America coronated a clueless, half-educated NAIF to be President in 2008. I’ll take DeMint OR Bachmann OR Rubio for President over Obama any day of the week, including RIGHT NOW.

I hope I’ve made myself clear?
