Well, the collaboration between the Nashua Telegraph and New Hamphsire Business Report has just gone live:
At the time, I wondered if James Pindell’s site, at $400 / year, would be viable long term; at least he gave it 6 months FREE to build traffic. This site? It’s going paid in 2 weeks. Yup – 2 weeks to taste the wares and then for the general public, it’ll be $200 / year for the paywall. The value add proposition – is there sufficient need for what will be there? Will the focus be sharp enough?
A plus? TWO of my most FAVORITE people: Pat Hynse and Fran Wendelboe are writing there – this may WELL be worth $200! In fact, at their launch, I was REALLY amused – while Hynsie was missing in action, there was Fran’s column entitled:
Will voters react to nasty campaign tactics?
…Does anyone remember a campaign season that was nastier? There have been flare ups in the past, but the summer barrage of negative ads, both by the candidates and by out-of-state third party groups, particularly in the U.S. Senate Binnie-Ayotte primary race, was unprecedented. Was it a fluke that squeaky clean Ovide Lamontagne surged at the end and almost took the nomination, or was it simply a reflection that voters said a pox on both Binnie and Ayotte, and went with the one they thought the nicest?…
At the end, she concluded with:
Your thoughts?
Funny, that….I did leave a comment, on the idea of what she did at the Belknap County Republican Committee – in one sentence, she said she’d run on the issues. In the next, she went after her opponent (listen to the gasp from the crowd).
Funny that….everything I left is verifiable – it’s right here on the ‘Grok.
Sad this – am still waiting for it to be approved.
Can’t wait for Hynsie to start in…
Updated (because I forgot): Does this tell you anything, perhaps, about their slant? They are/were advertising on Blue Hampshire. Here on the ‘Grok? Not so much. So, Conservatives, you think they want your eyeballs?
