In case you don’t know, there’s a lot going on in the Nashua area over the next month, leading up to the General Election.

October 4, 2010 (TONIGHT!): The Nashua Republican City Committee (NRCC), is having a Town Hall at the Nashua City Hall Auditorium, 6:30pm, where a number of state-level (House, Senate) Republican candidates will be available to answer questions, specifically about the budget shortfall.  Short on speeches, long on interrogation!  Sounds like a great opportunity.  Check out the NRCC website, for a listing of all greater-Nashua state-level candidates…

October 7, 2010 (Thu): The Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce is hosting a NH Gubernatorial Debate between John Stephen and John Lynch.  This event is taking place at the Nashua Holiday Inn on Northeastern Blvd, from 12pm-2pm.  There is a $20 fee to attend.  Contact Liz at lbaker@nashuachamber.com to reserve a seat.

October 14, 2010 (Thu): The Nashua Republican City Committee (NRCC), is having their monthly committee meeting, with featured guest, Bill O’Brien.  The featured topic is "State’s Rights".  If you paid attention here, you would know that the GraniteGrok has endorsed Mr. O’Brien for NH Speaker of the House.  There’s no better opportunity to hear Bill speak, and get to know him better.  He will be a dominate figure in NH politics for the next 2 years, and probably longer.

October 17, 2010 (Sun): The Granite State Organizing Project (with Nashua and Manchester chapters) and the United Valley Interfaith Project are holding a candidate forum from 3pm-5pm at the New Hampshire Technical Institute Sweeny Hall, in Concord.

October 18, 2010 (Mon):  The Nashua Republican City Committee (NRCC), is having another Town Hall at the Nashua City Hall Auditorium, 6:30pm, where a number of state-level (House, Senate) Republican candidates will be available to answer questions, specifically about the budget shortfall.  Short on speeches, long on interrogation!

October 21, 2010 (Thu): Not in Nashua, but nearby – A meet-and-greet with Charlie Bass and Jim Luther (NH Senate D12), will be held at the home of Jerry and Susan Bird, 195 Hurricane Hill, Mason, NH, at 6pm.  Contact Jerry Bird at OurLandOfLiberty@gmail.com or call (603) 809-3083.

October 27, 2010 (Wed): The Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce is hosting a NH Senatorial Debate between Kelly Ayotte and Paul Hodes.  This event is taking place at the Holiday Inn on Northeastern Blvd, 12pm-2pm.

** Of course, every Saturday from 9am-11am, GraniteGrok conducts its weekly GrokTalk radio series, with special guests.  Check www.GraniteGrok.com on Friday night/Saturday morning, for links to watch and listen-in.

We have lots of opportunities to get out and be active, helping to bring back the "New Hampshire Advantage", where fiscal responsibility, and Constitutional adherence, run wild and free.

If you know any events that I have not listed here, feel free to send them and I will update this posting.
