I have EVERY intention of doing The Happy Dance

National Journal used to do Right vs Left Blogger poll on a weekly basis and GraniteGrok used to be part of that – and we enjoyed participating!  Well, they dropped that feature but kept me on their email list and this was in the latest missive:

EXCLUSIVE to National Journal: Obama, McConnell Each Call for Humility After Election

Said President Obama, in a wide-ranging interview with National Journal Group Editor-in-Chief Ron Fournier and Editorial Director Ron Brownstein:

"It is going to be important for Democrats to have a proper and appropriate sense of humility about what we can accomplish in the absence of Republican cooperation. I think it’s going to be important for Republicans to recognize that the American people aren’t simply looking for them to stand on the sidelines, they’re going to have to roll up their sleeves and get to work."

Notice, under the guise of "humility", another slap at Republicans.  Already (er, still), Obama HAS to have someone to demonize – that’s what Community Organizers with an Alinsky background does.  It seems that’s ALL he is capable of doing.

But this?  Sorry – no more:

In a separate exclusive interview with National Journal’s Major Garrett, Senator McConnell used strikingly similar language:

"One of the things we will have to remind newcomers and those who have supported them is that even though we will have a larger Republican Conference, we do not control the government and cannot control the when the president holds the veto pen…We need to have a humble grateful response about this election."

Bush said to restrain ourselves – twice.  I keep hearing it from other Republicans.  Did Democrats?  Er, no.  Am I going to "behave"?

Yeah, right.  Screw that – I’m looking forward to one whopping great expression of rational exuberance!
