Apologies to those that this joke truly offended.
Unlike others, I have never wished physical harm upon anyone from the other side of the aisle; it was not my intent or outlook to imply such. Frankly, what caught my attention in the joke was what the last line imputed: a lack of trust by the general public.
There are those who are attempting and will attempt to "make political hay" from this – that I cannot stop, for in this highly charged Politically Correct environment with its "win any and all political points by any method", no apology will be ever be sufficient even as it is offered honestly (and even this may will be skewered as a non-apology apology).
At the risk of being seen as using "the other kid" defense which I normally decry – I still await Democrat Carol Shea-Porter’s apology for her theft of my work in her campaign ad without permission or attribution. Silence concerning an outright theft of intellectual property?
