Same thing in Dearborn, Michigan.
There are two lessons here:
1. ALWAYS HAVE A VIDEO CAMERA WITH YOU when you’re engaging in any type of public activity that the State may want to suppress (I was arrested at an NRA national convention for handing out pro-2nd Amendment Free State Project flyers on public property several years ago).
2. The police must be brought under control. In the past 50 years or so they have become "professionalized," and sometimes see the public as troublesome rubes who need to be controlled, if not suppressed. There’s an old joke that should NOT be reflective of reality: "Don’t ever argue with a cop about the Constitution. First of all, he doesn’t know what’s in it, and second, he doesn’t care."
Unfortunately, it’s an ugly current reality in Dearborn, Michigan.
