  • Sean Mahoney, a native of New Hampshire from Portsmouth checks in.  He is a well-respected small businessman and currently is President of Millyard Communications, Inc., the Publisher of BusinessNH Magazine, the leading business publication in New Hampshire.

Highly active in NH’s political and non-profit communities, Sean ran for the Republican nomination for U.S. Representative in the 2002 primary in New Hampshire’s First Congressional District, was a Delegate to the Republican National Convention in 2004 and in January, 2007 was elected as the New Hampshire Committeeman to the Republican National Committee. He currently fights for the New Hampshire First in the Nation Primary on the RNC’s Rules Committee, which establishes the Presidential primary process every four years.

During a recent appearance on TV, which we posted here, Sean discussed the health care issue and its implications for small business with such skill and detail that he caught the attention of a great many people, judging by the number of emails I received telling me about it. Also, with reports that almost every job supposedly created with "stimulus" here in NH are government ones, we’ll find out if it was really worth it. He’ll give us his take on what’s happening at the RNC (We had NH’s National CommitteeWOMAN Phyllis Woods last week- click here) and NH’s First in the Nation primary status, along with his view of America and NH in this the age of Obama. We’ll find out what he believes needs be done about it. Oh, and we might even ask about what he thinks HE can do about it… Wink

Sean earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Pennsylvania in 1989 and his Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 1994. He resides in Portsmouth with his wife Kirsten and son Jack. A lover of the outdoors, he has climbed to the summits of Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, Mount Rainer and Mount Washington. He is an avid skier and runner.

Jennifer will be in studio to join us in a roundtable discussion of  a variety of issues which will include:

WHEW! It all starts at 9AM EST Saturday. Tune in if you’re in Central NH at NewsTalk 1490AM WEMJ or live on the ‘Net here
