I know more than one person forced to work as a member of a union that feels as though the weekly union dues are somewhat akin to having their pockets picked.
Here is a story that shows that when it comes to some members of some labor unions, they’re picking your pockets coming and going. Oh, and these are the same people seeking to eliminate the federally-run secret ballot voting with the badly misnamed "Employee Free Choice Act" (AKA "card check"), claiming, "trust us…"
And I feel the pain of this story in more than one way… I was forced to belong to a union one time in order to have a job at a certain company. And, back before the 2000 election, when I went to see candidate Bush here at the Laconia Country Club, my brand new trench coat didn’t just have its pocket PICKED while in the cloak room, the whole damn thing was stolen! At the time, I figured maybe it was a member of the liberal news media. Perhaps it was one of those union activists we saw so much of in the election just passed… and I just didn’t know about them at the time.
Watch out for those paid union types. And especially, WATCH OUT FOR EFCA!!!
