Our buddy John Hawkins at RightWingNews has posted part one of the results of his latest "temperature check" of right-of-center bloggers. This was the assignment:
What I’d like you to do is send me two unranked lists of 1-10 elected Republicans (Elected Republicans should be living, in Congress, President, or Governors.)
One list should be 1-10 of your favorite elected Republicans and the other list should be 1-10 of your least favorite elected Republicans.
As I crafted my response, one thing occured to me right off: It was a lot easier to create the second list than the first. What does that say about the current crop of GOPers? Anyway, here were the top three vote getters as tabulated by John:
-
Bobby Jindal
-
Tom Coburn
-
Jim DeMint
Click on over to RWN here to view the rest of the list.
Here’s my list of "favorites" as submitted (Note that they are in no particular order, and in addition, I kinda forgot to include Senator McCain, who should have been on the list):
Duncan Hunter
Dick Cheney
Thadeus McCotter
Mike Pence
Tom Coburn
John Shadegg
Pete King
Sarah Palin
Rick Perry
Joe Arpaio
I guess I picked similarly to my fellow bloggers, as six of my choices made the cut on John’s list. (I probably should have included John E. Sununu in the list, too, as he ranks right up there with those I picked for fiscal conservatism.) Check back tomorrow for the list of least liked elected Republicans. As I said at the top of this post, that list was much easier to create. Any bets on who’s number one? Will it be Chuck Hagel, Larry Craig, or Arlen Specter? Or someone else? After all, there’s so many crappy Republicans to pick from lately…
Feel free to let us know who YOUR favorite elected Republican is in the comment section below…
